A word about Style Numbers On the firewall is a body plate. This plate contains the model and body style information that describes your car. These numbers are important because not all parts fit all models and styles of a particular year. Some variations are obvious, as Convertible parts seldom fit a 4 Door Sedan. Others are more subtle as the differences between a 4 door hardtop (no post) and 4 door sedan (with post). The style number always starts with the year of the car. example 35-3609 for 1935 6 cylinder 4 door sedan. To further complicate matters, Oldsmobile did not always use generally accepted terms. 2 door hardtops are Holiday Coupes, 4 Door Hardtops are Holiday Sedans. It is best to describe your car this way. "2 door hardtop, no post", or "4 door sedan, with post". If your not sure of the correct terminology, get the style number from the plate and we will decode the number for you. This eliminates needless questions and possible return of incorrect merchandise. Follow the link below for your year of Oldsmobile. We split the years up so it would be easier for find the year of your interest. |
